Sharing with Box

  • Thursday, March 10, 9:30-11:00 a.m., McLure Library Room 33

Box is a cloud platform that helps users securely and easily store, share, and manage their files. Using the Box Web App, mobile apps, and Bob Sync and Box Edit desktop apps, users can access, edit, and share documents from anywhere and collaborate on projects. The University’s Box service, UA+Box, is provided to students, faculty, and staff at no cost with no storage limit.

In this hands-on session, participants will upload files to Box via drag and drop, the file browser, and keyboard shortcuts; navigate their accounts with the Search tool, Jump to Folder, and the Updates view; share uploaded content by sharing links and adding collaborators; and learn about advanced sharing options such as email uploads, upload widgets, and bookmarks. Attendees should set up their UA+Box accounts prior to the workshop.
