Rodgers Library Spring 2015 Software Workshops

This is the first post from Science and Engineering Librarian Vincent Scalfani. In addition to providing software instruction, Dr. Scalfani is the Libraries’ subject specialist for Chemistry and Chemical and Biological Engineering and teaches in the Department of Chemistry.

I’m happy to share that our Spring 2015 Academic Technologies workshop schedule is now available. This semester will offer opportunities to learn about ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, NVivo, SAS, SPSS, and SketchUp. View a list of workshops by date and topic or register here.

ZoomText and other accessibility software

While this blog’s primary focus is the academic software installed on public computers in the UA Libraries, we occasionally highlight other library and campus services and spaces at the intersection of academics and technology.

This week, the Office of Library Technology, along with the Office of Disability Services and the Center for Instructional Technology, offered workshops on ZoomText and other accessibility software available in the Libraries as well as accessibility options built into the Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) operating systems.
