Description | Activist and folk musician Alix Dobkin, along with Kay Gardner and Marilyn Ries, released the album Lavender Jane Loves Women in 1973. The album was, in Dobkin’s own words, “the very first album by, for and about lesbians in the history of the world.” This 1989 concert was sponsored by the Tuscaloosa Lesbian Coalition and held on The University of Alabama campus in Tuscaloosa. |
