Description | First published in 1974 by a lesbian collective known as the Ambitious Amazons, Lesbian Connection is the longest-running publication for lesbians in the United States. Operating on a “pay what you can” subscription model in order to be as accessible to as many women as possible, the bi-monthly publication is written by the readers, a worldwide community of lesbians from diverse backgrounds, and creates a unique forum to discuss issues that are significant to the subscribers. Today, Lesbian Connection is published by Elsie Publishing Institute and has approximately 15,000 subscribers worldwide. |
