The Original Q Shack

Description

Close to Duke's west campus, the Q Shack offers both traditional NC barbecue sauces (vinegar based) and more 'western style' (tomato based) sauces. They have on-site barbecue pits where meats are slow cooked and smoked over hickory and mesquite. The menu includes dry-rubbed ribs, chile-rubbed beef brisket, smoked and pulled pork butt, fresh ground burgers, and mesquite smoked chicken, turkey and sausage. Spicy BBQ beans and homemade macaroni and cheese are noted side items. They also offer takeout, catering and tailgating menus.
