The back of the card provided the photography studio with an opportunity to advertise its\u00a0business. While some studios simply included a\u00a0name and address, or perhaps the\u00a0processes they offered or their pricing structure, some used\u00a0decorative\u00a0monograms or icons to draw potential customers&#8217; attention.<\/p>\n<p>Some studios, though, used more elaborate illustrations. A common one was the artist&#8217;s palette, perhaps indicating the attitude these studios took toward their craft:<\/p>\n<div id='gallery-2' class='gallery galleryid-2872 gallery-columns-3
