Audio Library in Open Access Digital Repositories

Maria Imaculada da Conceição, Universidade de São Paulo

The School of Public Health of University of São Paulo (SPH / USP) has a podcast collection called Audio Library (“Audioteca”) produced by the institution and available in its Digital Repository. The advantage is the fact that the language used in an oral expression, tends to be more colloquial and makes information more easily understandable to non-expert listeners, bridges the gap between university and society, and can be transmitted by community and educational radio programs, promoting the research undertaken and contributes to the construction of citizenship. Now, the next step is to extend the reach of the Audioteca and use social media like Facebook, Twitter, and blogs to publicize the collection.
