{"id":795,"date":"2019-12-10T20:38:20","date_gmt":"2019-12-10T20:38:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/apps.lib.ua.edu\/blogs\/renovations\/?p=795"},"modified":"2019-12-10T20:39:20","modified_gmt":"2019-12-10T20:39:20","slug":"renovation-update-12-10-19","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apps.lib.ua.edu\/blogs\/renovations\/2019\/12\/10\/renovation-update-12-10-19\/","title":{"rendered":"Renovation Update December 10"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Work to build the\nconstruction barrier for the restroom project on 4<sup>th<\/sup> floor will\nbegin on Friday, December 13.&nbsp; On December 20, after 5:00 p.m., work will\nbegin on 4th floor to remove the carpet in the elevator lobby, the area south\nof the elevator lobby, and conference rooms 401 and 402. The library will be\nofficially closed after 5:00 p.m. on December 20.&nbsp; &nbsp;New carpet will\nbe installed on fourth floor in the area south of the elevator lobby where the\ncubicles are currently installed, in Steven Turner\u2019s office suite, in 402 and\n401.&nbsp; New ceiling tiles will be installed in the space south of the\nelevator lobby.&nbsp; At the completion of the restroom work, new floor tiles\nand a new ceiling will be installed in the elevator lobby.&nbsp; The conference\nroom, 402, will get a facelift, which will include carpet, new ceiling and\nenhanced entry, along with some technology upgrades.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pending inspection and final\napproval, the restrooms on Floors 2 and 2M are scheduled to be completed and\navailable for use by the beginning of the spring semester.&nbsp; &nbsp;The\nelevator lobby on Floor 2, as well as the large space near the Circulation Desk\nis also scheduled to be completed by the beginning of spring semester. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently, the staff elevator\nproject is scheduled to be completed by the end of March, 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Work to build the construction barrier for the restroom project on 4th floor will begin on Friday, December 13.&nbsp; On December 20, after 5:00 p.m., work will begin on 4th floor to remove the carpet in the elevator lobby, the area south of the elevator lobby, and conference rooms 401 and 402.
