Available on computers throughout the University Libraries, IBM SPSS Statistics is a collection of products used to access and manage data, select and perform analyses, and share results. This semester, the College of Education’s Dr. Sara Tomek will teach three SPSS workshops at McLure Library: Introduction to SPSS, Advanced SPSS: ANOVA, and Advanced SPSS: Categorical Data.
Here’s what you need to know:
Introduction to SPSS
Wednesday, September 2
12:00-1:00 p.m.
McLure Library Room 33
IBM SPSS Statistics is a collection of products used to access and manage data, select and perform analyses, and share results. It is available on computers throughout the University Libraries.
This workshop will provide an introduction to SPSS, including entering data, data management, and descriptive statistics. Attendees will learn how to enter data, navigate the SPSS module, edit a data set, transform variables, generate descriptive statistics, and generate frequency tables. The session will be hands-on, with the opportunity to ask questions at the end.
This workshop is presented by the University Libraries and the College of Education. The College’s Dr. Sara Tomek is the instructor.

IBM SPSS Statistics is a collection of products used to access and manage data, select and perform analyses, and share results. It is available on computers throughout the University Libraries.
In this workshop, attendees will learn how to perform analysis of variance (ANOVA), a form of statistical test useful in comparing multiple means. One-way, Factorial, and Repeated Measures ANOVAs will be discussed. Both results and methods of plotting interactions will be discussed. The session will be hands-on, with the opportunity to ask questions at the end.
This workshop is presented by the University Libraries and the College of Education. The College’s Dr. Sara Tomek is the instructor.
