The Bloomberg terminals previously located on the main floor of the Bruno Library have now been installed in a prominent location in the Gorgas Library. The two terminals are adjacent to the first floor Information Desk and have a large blue sign suspended from the ceiling above them. The terminals will remain in Gorgas Library until the Bruno Library renovations are complete and the Bruno Library reopens (Fall 2022). At this time, use of the terminals is first-come, first-served.
If you need assistance using Bloomberg, please reach out to one of our Bruno business librarians. Their temporary offices are also located in Gorgas Library.
The Bruno Library building might be closed, but our enormous collection of electronic journals, ebooks, and databases is still available to you at any location 24/7 through the website at http://libraries.ua.edu/bruno. Likewise, our business librarians and staff are working from home to continue to provide support for your teaching, learning, and research.
For a quick response, you can send a question to the University Libraries’ chat service at http://ask.lib.ua.edu. You can also submit a question by email using that site, or you can contact one of the business librarians directly.

Many researchers have discovered that the OneSource database is an excellent source of data on companies and industries. What we once knew as OneSource is now owned by Dun & Bradstreet, the company that also owns Hoover’s Online. The data and information from both databases have been merged into a new-and-improved database called D&B Hoover’s. When you pull up a company record in D&B Hoover’s, you will find the same wealth of information that was previously available in OneSource, but in an updated format. Additional features and tools for exploring companies and company news are also available from the new home page. For now, you can find D&B Hoover’s in the library’s databases list either under its new name listed under the letter D or under the former OneSource name listed under the letter O.
