Title United We Serve
Creator United War Work Campaign
Date 1918
Format 20 x 30 in
Description The United War Work Campaign was initiated by seven non-profits, who despite having great differences, were united around the goal of raising roughly $170,000,000 to support soldiers. This poster lists the names of the participating organizations are under the phrase “UNITED WE SERVE.” Missing in the poster are the dates of the campaign, from November 11 to November 18, which is important because the campaign officially began on the day that WWI ended with the signing of the Armistice agreement; however, fundraising did continue after the war ended. While certainly informational, this poster offers relatively few verbal and visual reasons why viewers should donate to the campaign.
